Talented but plagued by her owns demons Sylvia Plath’s early relationship with husband and fellow poet, Ted Hughes, is dominated by Ted’s ambition and success. In the early years of their marriage Sylvia lacks inspiration and increasingly senses Ted’s infidelity. The unspoken question is whether Ted’s extra-marital affairs are the result of Sylvia’s own insecurities or whether Sylvia’s deepening depression is exacerbated by her husbands philandering. Plot Summary:
When her rather explicit copy is rejected, magazine journalist Kate is asked by her editor to come up with an article on loving relationships instead, and to do so by the end of the day. This gets Kate thinking back over her own various experiences, and to wondering if she is in much of a position to write on the subject.
The story follows Mirabelle, a disenchanted salesgirl and aspiring artist who sells gloves and accessories at a department store. Plot Summary:
Jeffrey “The Dude” Lebowski is the ultimate LA slacker, until one day his house is broken into and his rug is peed on by two angry gangsters who have mistaken him for Jeffrey Lebowski, the LA millionaire, whose wife owes some bad people some big money. The Dude becomes entangled in the plot when he goes to visit the real Lebowski in order to get some retribution for his soiled rug, and is recruited to be the liason between Lebowski and the captors of his now “kidnapped” wife.
