Plot Summary: A teenage astronomer and his teacher discover an object amongst the stars at night. Little do they know that it’s a comet on a direct collision course for earth. After the teacher dies in a car crash trying to report his findings the President announces the comet’s existence. He also states that there is no need to panic, because NASA is going to send astronauts on the space mission, Messiah. Their mission is to destroy the comet before it gets too close to the earth. When Messiah backfires, the President announces that special caves will have to be built, and the government will have to have a lottery-of-fate to randomly select 800,000 ordinary American citizens to go along with 200,000 scientists, soldiers, and other officials. These 1,000,000 people will be set aside to save the population from extinction when the comet hits.

Plot Summary: Negli anni ‘50 erano stati allontanati dalla NASA per motivi politici ed oggi questi quattro anziani astronauti, ormai in pensione e con qualche acciacco, sono richiamati per una missione difficile: bisogna andare a rimettere in sesto l’Ikon, un vecchio satellite russo in orbita sopra la Terra, che si si `e guastato e rischia di lasciare la Terra priva di collegamenti e telecomunicazioni. I nostri eroi sono i disegnatori di un vecchio sistema satellitare identico a quello russo e sarebbero i soli a poter affrontare l’emergenza. In pensione da tempo, sono richiamati al lavoro dal loro capo, Frank Corvin, un anziano astronauta, che conosce il satellite al punto da poterlo riparare. Cos`i la squadra dei ‘nonnetti’ parte alla conquista di gloria e fama. La pensione e l’ospizio possono attendere.

Plot Summary: John Kruger works for a branch of the Justice Department call Witness Security or Witsec, that’s responsible for relocatibng and protecting witnesses. John’s latest assignment is Lee Cullen, who works for a company that’s a Defense Contractor, who is selling weapons to enemies of the U.S. When she agrees to get the evidence that the Feds need to take them down, she goes in and does it but was not told by the Feds that she was going to have a bullseye on her for the rest of her life. After refusing to be placed in Kruger’s custody, some men attack her home but Kruger arrives just in time to save her and relocate. Later when several witnesses under Witsec are killed, Kruger accompanies another Witsec agent Deguerin to save a potential victim, when they get there, Deguerin shoots the killer but also kills the witness, and then plants a photo of Lee in the shooter’s pocket. When Kruger sees the photo, Deguerin asks where she is, Kruger intially gives him a false location but while on the plane, Kruger sensing something’s not right, calls her, which means that she is suppose to meet him somewhere. Kruger’s drugged and when he awakens he discovers that Deguerin is not only working with the people who are trying to sell the weapons but has just framed him for killing another agent. Kruger escapes and gets to Lee in time but unfortunately, he is still a fugitive, so he must try and prove his innocence while trying to protect Lee.
